Submission Guidelines
Authors are required to submit manuscripts through the “Submit Your Research” option available on the journal’s homepage sidebar. Upon clicking the button, an email submission interface will appear, and authors must upload all required files through the provided email link. Only manuscripts prepared in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format will be considered for review. Corresponding authors using the system for the first time must complete a one-time profile setup before sending their files.
Required Documents
All submissions must include the following materials at the time of initial submission:
- Full manuscript file
- Title page containing complete author and affiliation details
- Turnitin similarity report
- Turnitin AI content detection report
The journal applies strict screening criteria. Submissions will be declined without review if:
- The total similarity index exceeds 20%
- The reported AI-generated text rate exceeds 10%
Contact Information
All manuscript-related inquiries should be directed to the editorial office.

Manuscript Preparation
Manuscripts must be written in clear and grammatically correct English. British or American spelling may be used; however, the selected style must be consistent throughout the entire text. Research articles should generally range between 6,000 and 9,000 words, inclusive of references, tables, and footnotes. Shorter contributions such as book or software reviews should not exceed 2,500 words.
Blinded Review and File Structure
JAIR operates a double-blind review system. Authors must therefore submit two separate files:
- Title Page – containing author names, institutional affiliations, active email addresses, and contact information.
- Anonymous Manuscript – containing no author identifying information.
Complex formatting, automatic styling, or template-based structures should be avoided. A consistent heading structure should be maintained with no more than two sub-heading levels under the main title.
Text Formatting Standards
Manuscripts must comply with the following formatting requirements:
- Paper size: A4 with a minimum margin of 2 cm on all sides
- Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
- Line spacing: 1.5 throughout
- Alignment: Justified
- Automatic hyphenation must be disabled
- Use bold or italics only where academically necessary
- Pages must be numbered consecutively from the first to the last page
Citation, Quotations, and Permissions
Complete quotations should appear inside double quotation marks, while shorter or partial quotations should be placed in single quotation marks. Extended quotations longer than one line must be indented as a separate paragraph block without quotation marks. Omissions should be marked using (...), while additional explanations should be inserted using [square brackets]. Authors are responsible for securing rights to reproduce any copyrighted text, tables, or illustrations.
Terminology and Paragraphing
Foreign expressions or non-standard terminology should be italicized or presented in single quotation marks. Paragraphs must begin with a standard tab indent rather than unnecessary line breaks or blank spaces. Only one hard return should be used to end each paragraph.
Notes and References
Footnotes should be created using the Microsoft Word footnote tool and placed at the bottom of each page. Footnotes must be double-spaced and formatted in 12-point font. Citations and bibliographic entries must follow the IEEE referencing style consistently throughout the manuscript. Reference lists must be arranged alphabetically by the first author’s surname.
Tables and Figures
Tables must be prepared using the table function or tab stops, not space characters, and should not exceed a width of 12 cm for print layout. Each table must be uploaded separately in an MS Word file. Figures should have a resolution of at least 300 DPI and may be submitted in common image formats such as JPEG, PNG, or GIF. Color figures will appear in the online version but may be printed in grayscale. All figure and table files must be uploaded separately with clear titles, and their intended placement should be indicated within the manuscript using square brackets, for example: [Figure 1].
